Pernille is pregnant and filled with joyful expectations to her new life as a mother. But when her son arrives her world is turned upside-down. The idyllic dream of motherhood is shattered and replaced by the reality of a crying baby. She seeks support and comfort from a group of far more experienced mothers. But how can Pernille become a great mother?
Zara Zeny graduated from the alternative film school, Super16, in 2016 as a director. During her time at Super16, she directed three films that all mix documentary and fiction. Zara enjoys exploring a character driven style and a long tableaux that forces the viewer to observe the world that she wants to depict. Zara’s films have been shown at various of festivals such as Nordic Panorama (Sweden), Slamdance Film Festival (USA), Odense Film Festival (Denmark)... In 2017 she participated in the workshop, Jump In, at Poitiers Film Festival in France developing her first feature film.
