#YESIFILM CAMPAIGN

There are countless stories of women in films as film directors, screenwriters, cinematographers, producers and so on!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE? From March 1-31 share a short story on your social media page: video, stand up gig, or text, about your experience as a woman in the film industry or about the stereotypical representation of women in film and add the #YesIFilm hashtag. The story can address issues ranging from how women are treated in the film industry to unequal opportunities. Share your story about why gender parity in filmmaking is important on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or any other channel, and encourage others to do so too.

Our goal for the #YesIFilm campaign is to inspire women in the film industry in all roles, to raise the question of the conventional representation of women in film, to join together to achieve parity and transform the culture of the global film industry by calling out absurd gender stereotypes.

Gender discrimination is undoubtedly a heavy topic. Our aim of this campaign to take every discrimination out of the so-called "traditional" and "cultural" context and satirically illustrate the absurd discrimination women face in the film industry. We believe that humor can and is being used to promote broader themes of women’s empowerment and gender equality not only, by making us laugh, but also by challenging old stories in front of a broad and engaged audience.
