Call Girl is a fictionalised version of events based on the so-called “Bordellhärvan” political scandal in 1970s Sweden, which linked several prominent politicians to a prostitution ring that included underage girls. The film follows two young girls as they are sucked into the prostitution ring, which is operated by a Madam who is well-known to the authorities, and whose clients are rich and powerful men. This film portrays the weak grasp young girls have over their own life, and the lack of power they have when compared to elite male politicians.
