DIRECTOR’S BIOGRAPHY

Yang Mingming born in Beijing, China in 1987, she grew up with her mother in the ancient Hutong area of the city. «Girls Always Happy» is her debut feature film.

Wu, a screenwriter and her mother have many things in common even though they’d never like to admit. They both are seemingly accustomed to discontent and disappointment in both personal and professional fronts. They share close bonds where emotional outbursts are momentary that are followed mostly by resounding confront.
