synopsis
Xiao Tong, who grew up in a small village of Guangxi, was once a left behind child. She chose to get married and have child when she was under the age of 18. Facing the burden of earning a living and the hypocrisy of her husband, she is still chose to be optimistic. Perhaps she has hidden the scars that her family of origin brought to her, perhaps she has already seen the future of this immature marriage, but the reality is like a swamp, she may be able to break free, and may let the tragedy reincarnate.
DIRECTOR’S BIOGRAPHY
Yixuan Liao, born in September 2000, is a Zhuang Nationality from Guangxi. She is now a junior in the director department of Sichuan University of Media and Communications. She began to study films in 2018, directed the first short film “begin again” in 2020, directed the first documentary "Tong" in 2021, and nominated by Graduates Art Fair.
