synopsis
When 10-year-old BFFs Cherry Cake, Franny and Starla find a bag of marijuana on the soccer field after practice, they hatch a foolproof plan to sell the greenery to their suburban town’s fabled drug dealer. The Green is an ensemble adventure comedy about friendship goals, soccer goals, and a plan so crazy it just might never in a million years work.
Director biography
Sophia Loffreda is an Italian-Canadian director & screenwriter from Montréal, Canada. She has interned at the Cannes Film Festival; UCB Del Close Marathon; and worked as a Producer’s Assistant for Picture This Productions, where she helped develop documentary television for the Aboriginal People’s Television Network. A TV addict & comedy nerd, she studied improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade and screenwriting at New York Film Academy before moving to Austin, where she is currently pursuing her MFA in film and television production at the University of Texas at Austin.
