Three women from Egypt hold jobs that are usually occupied by men. They are struggling to provide for their children under difficult financial circumstances and in the absence of their husbands. Mona is a car guard, Nahid is a van driver and Naglaa is a fisherman.
Neveen Shalaby is a documentary filmmaker from Egypt. Now, she works as a scriptwriter, producer, editor and film director for many international organizations and television channels. She has directed more than 120 documentary films and has worked as a filmmaker at Amnesty International. Shalaby has been selected for the Berlin Talent campus at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2008. Her films have won many prizes from Egypt, Iran, India, France, Sudan and Morocco. Shalaby has also been selected to serve as a member of a film festival jury six times.
