2021/22 Social Advertising Program

CONVERSATIONS between NGO and ADVERTISING professionals

Recently, more and more NGOs dedicated to poverty alleviation and women’s empowerment, are launching their products. However, since NGOs’ focus is rather on social impact than on profits, often they lack experience in design, branding, promotion, and marketing. This causes business failures and slow growth.

At the same time, many advertising professionals are passionate about non-profit projects but have few opportunities to apply their experience there, since volunteer work on offer is often limited in terms of qualification.

To address this issue, as part of the Social Advertising section of its ninth edition, Baturu Cultural Festival is delighted to present a series of conversations between women-led non-profit organizations and advertising professionals. During conversations, NGOs will introduce their products, social impact, operation mode, current situation and the problems they face; advertising professionals in their turn will offer comments and suggestions. The series of events will lay a foundation for an NGO capacity building platform.
